Apple considers a MacBook battery "consumed" when its maximum capacity falls below 80% of the original design capacity. You can check this in System Information → Power → Battery Information (macOS) or third-party tools like CoconutBattery. If your max capacity is at 70%, 60%, or lower, replacement will restore a significant amount of runtime.

Swollen or Bulging Battery

A swollen battery is a safety issue that requires immediate attention. 3. Safe Removal

4. Installation & Software Reset

5. Verification
